I just got off with Verizon support. Verizon can't use iPhone for these reasons:
1. for troubleshot you need to remove battery,
2. no insurance from Apple,
3. iPhone is taken back to Apple store for repair,
4. Apple doesn't lend you a phone meanwhile, and the last
5. support is done thru Apple costumer support and not Verizon.
How much is iPhone outside ATnT? Can you really make iPhone work with Verizon?
Is ATnT service that bad?
Would you switch from Verizon to ATnT?
Does iPhone work with T-Mobil?

The Verizon SIM card is for their world phones. ALL blackberry's made for Verizon run on both CDMA and GSM, why? So when you travel to other countries and areas of the US that don't have CDMA coverage, you can still use your phone. Open up the back of a Verizon Blackberry, and you'll see a SIM card, moron.

my friend has a storm and i have a iphone 3gs we just sat here and put his sim card ( yes a sim card ) and he had NO service on the iphone with his sim card. i then put my sim card back into the iphone and instantly got 5 bars. but the att and verizon both are international which allows you to use your phone outside the walls of the us without doing anything. thats cause they both have a deal with the CDMA and GSM and all the other networks out there to use their towers. but in the US there is no deal to use other networks. you have to use what you have. thats why you cant use a verizon sim card in an iphone and make it work. it may work outside the US but thats cause they all use the same towers but here you can not do it.

yes the iphone will work on verion but it is technically not working with verizons network...switching a sim card from any verizon Blackberry to an iphone will make the iphone work with your verizon account, but you will be roaming constintly on att's network because verizon uses cmda and att/iphone uses gsm...there is no cmda chip in the iphone.

There are other options besides an iPhone. iPhone is quite overrated because of the awesome apps. I would love to have an iPhone but would never switch plan. Simply put, Verizon is probably the most dependable network in the US, and the iPhone is not worth switching from the best network to other "half ass" network (not putting any network in particular). The phone is worthless without a good plan. ^_^

They have mentioned it many times recently. The 3g network can't handle millions of phones trying to receive information from a limited network. The only reason why I stay with AT&T, is because of the smartphone technology that the IdiotPhone (IPhone) has. AT&T coverage sucks goat balls, and only if I travel 20 miles either way of my area, will I be able to enjoy the 3G network. The reception sucks on AT&T in most places, no matter if it's a big city, or not, and when you combine it with the IdiotPhone, the earpiece volume sucks, but the smartphone part of it rocks! And that's it! If Verizon and Apple could work something out, that would be awesome!

I've had both Verizon and AT&T phones and can tell you there is no difference except Old Pacbell territories vs Old GTE territories for coverage. Verizon still uses old CDMA technology which only works in North America. AT&T's GSM works world wide.

Would you all look up the difference between SIM and RIM. Verizon, Sprint are both CDMA.....even if the verizon storm uses a "RIM"(not a SIM card, doesn't make it compatible with the OS of the iphone. (for the time being.) The Iphone is a GSM phone that runs frequencies of 800, 1200, 1500, up to 1900Mhz i think, which are much higher than that of a CDMA network that uses 450 or so, at the highest 800 on a rare occasion. So before anyone goes on about BS and gets angry over someone LIEING sayin that they have an Iphone on Verizon, stop and remember you are better than them.
